Join this exciting 5-day school and get a taste of what it means to be part of an international team! You will work together to come up with an outline proposal for the scheduling of a big science project from conception to commissioning.
The TOSCA Summer School aims to introduce students to the management of big science projects. Around 30 international students will be brought and work together.
During the school, highly experienced professionals with key positions in large scientific projects will share their knowledge and experience in a series of lectures and seminars on key aspects of project management and how they are implemented in real large-scale scientific projects. The school focuses on the main tools for developing, implementing, managing and monitoring a project through dedicated sessions.
The school is open to engineers or physicists (Master or Doctorate) interested in introductory training in the management of large science projects.

Student testimonies
“ The TOSCA 2024 summer school was a fantastic experience. The program was well-structured, balancing theory and practice effectively. The instructors were knowledgeable, and the sessions were interactive. The provided materials were comprehensive, and the networking opportunities were invaluable. Overall, it significantly enhanced my understanding and skills in the domain of management of big science projects and I highly recommend it. ”
“ I really liked the talks and lunch breaks with these experts, we got the chance to meet and talk with them. The entire program is well-structured for me, I learnt new ideas from my group mates and other students during the collaboration time, as well as I get the chance to work in team, and learn how to listen and share the ideas which is the best way for learning. ”
” The quality of the speakers was at its best and the school offered a program with vision of a long-term plan that will be answer and solution of the next accelerator and lasers scientist. “
