Dr. Nikolay Kochev has a MS degree in Mathematics and Ph.D. in informatics from the University of Plovdiv. He has more than 20 year experience in the field of chemoinformatics. From 2001 to 2006 Nikolay Kochev worked as a software developer for Molecular-Networks, one of the leading companies in the field of chemoinformatics. In 2006 he worked as a software developer in the Institute for Parallel Processing at Bulgarian Academy of Science. Since 2008 he is associate professor in chemoinformatics in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Computer Chemistry at the University of Plovdiv. From 2007 he has a fruitful collaboration with SME Ideaconsult Ltd., developing software solutions in the field of chemoinformatics, QSAR modeling, databases and nanoinformatics for academia, industry and regulatory bodies. Nikolay Kochev participated in several FP7 and H2020 scientific projects. For more than 10 years he is actively involved in development of open source and open data solutions. He took part in the development of EU US Nanoinformatics 2030 Roadmap.
