Dr. Fritz Caspers

Fritz Caspers studied Electrical engineering at the Technical University Aachen (Germany) and obtained his PhD on a microwave inverse scattering subject from Bochum University in 1982. Since then, he is with CERN and made major contributions to the p-bar project and in particular stochastic beam cooling as well as beam impedance issues and electromagnetic compatibility.

 

He has authored or co-authored about nearly 400 papers and holds about 30 patents or patent applications. Formally retired end of 2015 as senior scientific staff with age 65 he is now registered as USER (home institute: ESI) at CERN and continues working in the fields mentioned above.
