The “Journées Accélérateurs”, organized every two years by the Accelerator Division of the French Physical Society, took place from 3 to 6 October in Roscoff (Brittany), with an attendance of some 120 participants. This is the occasion for the French community of accelerators – universities, laboratories and industries – to get together and learn about the latest developments in the field, in France as well as in European projects.
In a special session devoted to academic training in the field of particle accelerators, Philippe Lebrun, director of JUAS, presented the School, a timely action as the deadline for student registration for the next session in early 2018 was only ten days away.
The audience particularly appreciated the short video of student testimonials – with French subtitles! – produced during the 2017 session. Also attending the meeting was Louis Rinolfi, former JUAS director, as well as several of the JUAS lecturers and sponsors.
