- Lowest pressure ever measured at room temperature (about 3.10E-14 Torr).
- Vacuum chambers made of carbon fibre composites.
- NEG coatings: from RandD to applications in the LHC.
- Production of 1400 vacuum chambers for the LHC-LSS.
- Mathematical modelling of H2 outgassing from metals.
- Technology transfer of NEG coatings and extremely low leak detection (10E-15 mbar l s-1)
- Vacuum systems for antimatter experiments: ATHENA.
- Amorphous carbon coatings for vacuum systems of particle accelerators.
- Merging of vacuum competences at CERN.
